Giraffe Pastel Tutorial

Come and work with me as we recreate this pretty giraffe using soft pastels and pastel pencils

I will take you step my step through the process of using pastels to capture the out of focus background, character and fur texture in this graceful animal

Materials
Set of soft pastels (The quality of your pastels will effect the result, I recommend these mid price ranges, Faber Castell, Koh i nor, Royal Talens renbrandt}

Sheet of either Pastel Mat paper or velour (preferable toned grey of brown)

Please print off and pre draw your giraffe using light coloured pastel pencil before the class
